You may alraedy be aware of lotz of GOOD reading material out there

BUT!

After you have squinted your eyeballs at a Aerofax Minigraph book on your Fav Aircraft You will LOVE IT! Very detailed info with lots of GOOD CLOSE UP PICS!

I beleave the Chinook book is out of print so I found mine on ebay for 8.00 bucks U.S..........with the upcomming Panda CH47 Chinook kit you gotta have this one!

BOOK NUMBER # 27 Boeing Helicopters CH-47 Chinook

With that book and Squadron's # 91 CH-47 Chinook in action you will be set!

Frank white from the Nam group 'Guns a Go Go' told me that many of the Nam pics in the Squadron book are from his and friends collections...he's in a few. The SKULL on the foward chinook pylon is the GUNS A GO GO symbol. This is one of the Nam HEAVY Chinook kits that will be released later....I'm assuming that means Ramp & window mounted 50's and 60's with the side mounted remote systems as well.

One hopes.Approve [^]

The Aerofax books are, indeed, some of the most comprehensive general reference books out there. Makes me sad that I sold almost all of mine years ago... Sad [:(]

One of my best 1/72 helis was the Italeri Chinook gun ship.Boeing only produced 4 of these back during the V war. Two of them never made it out of the
states. They crashed during tests and were plagued with problems. One of the two that went to Nam crashed during a mission ,and the last one shot its own
rotor blades off and crashed killing 5 crew members.Low and behold the book
that I am using for referance has a color pic of the subject that Italeri used.Exact
tail no.'s and everything. Two out of the four are pictured in the book,The name of the book is Vietnam The Helicopter War .Written by Philip D Chinnery. The pic is on page 70 of the hard cover copy. Lots of great reference pic for rotor heads and
model builders.Good luck in your building
