Howdy Scath! Welcome!

The ONLY 1/48 Chinook was the old Aurora kit from 1964 to 71.....it was kinda lacking in detail compared to todays kits and some areas are not 100% correct.
You can turn this kit into something very cool with alot of work. You can also find them on ebay from time to time but you could spend 50.00 to 150.00 on that bird.

Check this out! OLDHOOKER spent some quality time around these oversized birds in Nam...you know...that one or two year all expense paid vacation some lucky lottery winners got in the 60's and early 70's?

See how he nearly went insane super detailing the old Aurora 1/48 Chinook kit!

The BEST thing that hit the store shelves lately is MRC's SUPER NICE 1/48 scale CH46-E SeaKnight...or BULL FROG VERY NICE!

MRC is making the BEST 1/48 and 1/35 scale helos around!

No problem Pal!

Monogram Models makes both Hind and the Apache kits in 1/48 scale.....I'm not sure if they available now but there are several on ebay in the 4.00 to 7.00 range!

Good luck!

Also for the Apache, there are the Hasegawa 1/48th AH-64A and AH-46D Longbow Apache kits, both of which are fantastic kits. Academy and Italeri also have Apache kits in 1/48th scale, but the Hasegawa kits outclasses them all in most respects. They have their fiddly side (what helo doesn't Big Smile [:D]), but the level of detail and overall finesse make the Hasegawa kits the best of the bunch.

As for the Hind, there is a company called Minihobby (affiliated with Trumpeter in some capacity) who made a Hind E and Hind F. There is some debate as to the origins of these kits as one camp believes they are modified Monogram kits (with recessed panel lines, cripser detail) while others say that these are Minihobby/Trumpeter's own tooling. There is the afore-mentioned Monogram kit and the Revell of Germany reboxing as well.
