My first Helicopter model (excepting a Rotodyne)
Posted by madmike on Friday, September 3, 2004 9:13 PM
Hi all

Thought I would share my first Helicopter build with everyone.

This is the 1:72 Matchbox RAN Westland Wessex HAS.31. Kit went together really well in the main, with fiddly bits being the canopy fit and the undercarriage legs. I needed to scratchbuild the intake at the nose. In hindsight I should have used a finer mesh but this was all I had available. Next one I will use bridal veil mesh.

Hope you like it

cheers

Lo' Mike,

Where have I seen you before??? Big Smile [:D] Nice to see a familiar name. The Wessex looks fabulous. The Wessex/S-58 is such an ungainly and cool looking chopper all at once. Might have to look at getting one myself, as I'd like to build one for IDF/AF service.

Again, nice job Mike.

Cheers,
