Former WARSAW Pact helos in 1/48

Special Hobby makes a Mi-1 in 1/48

I saw a kit of a Hip in my LHS the other day, its a multimedia 1/48 kit by an outfit called Russian Project. Its the only kit they make as far as anyone knows.

Its limited run and looks it by appearances in the box. Flash abounds on the styrene and white metal parts. the windows are vac form and could be better, the resin isn't bad though.

Not something I'd fork out for, but if you love that helo that much it might be your only option in 1/48

I'm paying my LHS another visit tonight, so I'll pay more attention to the helicopters and get back to you.

Thanks Albert! I'll keep an eye out for the Italeri Ka-50. That's an interesting looking bird. I haven't seen Revell/Monogram's Hind in a while.

The only 1/48th scale WARSAW helos that come to mind are the Hind you mentioned and the Kamov Ka-50 Black Shark from Italeri. Minihobby also had a Hind out in circulation. There are a ton of 1/72nd scale kits made by A-Model, Zfevda, Maquette, and KP, but I don't think there are any quarter scale kits beyond the ones already mentioned. There may have been some locally produced kits that we just don't know about.

Now you have me wondering...
