Very impressive work you've got there. I can't wait for the next update. Keep 'em coming.
A day in the Corps is like a day on the farm; every meal is a banquet, every paycheck a fortune, every formation a parade... The Marine Corps is a department of the Navy? Yeah...The Men's Department.

Here are the latest from my Aurora Chinook conversion:

These are mainly of the avionics/cockpit bulkhead i've spent the last 2 weeks completing. Much of that time was spent rebuilding this several times to get everything to fit correctly. The last photo will show just how well it fits inside the fuselage. Most of the imperfections i'm not too worried about as they will all be covered up once the sound-proofing is installed.

Rear view showing avionics closet along with the rear forward transmission support. This rear support will later be drilled to allow the driveshaft to come thru that support and attach to the transmission.

Side view showing cut-out to accept the forward transmission once it is built.

Front view - the only part i used from the original kit was the upper bulkhead piece that i attached to get the upper angle correct so that the bulkhead is closer to the upper windows and forward pylon area. (yes i know my cuts/pieces are crooked, but trust me, it sits in the aircraft squarely; why? i don't know) Smile [:)]

Top view showing installed piece that will later accept the forward transmission. I decided to not detail the flight control closet since it will be covered by sound-proofing, and really won't be seen.

Cabin view showing installed piece and the overall fit inside. I decided to not detail the heater closet since a) it'll be covered by sound-proofing and b) i really never took it off to begin with unless i was either checking for leaks or making sure the heater worked. You can also see the instrument panel thru the cabin walkway, along with the support ribs that will later support my sound-proofing.

Anyways, sorry for the long post - but thanks for letting me share.

I'll keep you updated as often as possible.
