Sikorsky Family Day

Hey all,
I had a very interesting weekend. We loaded up our CH-53E on Friday morning and flew from MCAS New River, NC to Stratford, CN. Then we had a tour of the Sikorsky plant that afternoon. Saturday was Sikorsky's Family Day, and we got to show off our aircraft to the men and women that made it. They had all kinds of good questions, and they were proud to see one of their creations do so much in the war on Terrorism. The 53 wasn't the best looking bird in the fleet. It had some exhaust and oil stains, as well as some chipped and erroded paint. However, they loved it. One guy even read off the burreau number and said, "I built the tail section on this thing." It was cool, here's some pics.
