AH-1T+ versus AH-1W
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, October 12, 2004 11:02 AM
Hi all,

I recently received MRC's AH-1T+ SuperCobra. I would really like to convert this to a AH-1W. Are there any major differences in appearance between these two aircraft? (ie. tail boom length, rotar heads, cockpit glass, etc.)

I would also like to show the engine. Do the two have the same engine? Are there any update kits?

Thanks,
Jesse

Don't hold me to this. But, I believe that MRC's Tango Plus and Whiskey are the same kit with different decals.
The Tango Plus is to be painted in the colors of the prototype which was later to become the Whiskey.
I don't know what weapons come with the Tango Plus. But, if it comes with TOW and Hellfire missiles, you should be able to build the Whiskey. Using the proper decals, of course.

Chopperfan is correct. The kits are the same on the insides. All the W weapons are there too. You will need new decals though. Try Two Bobs Aviation Graphics, they have a 1/35 scale Wiskeys in the Mix decal sheet for USMC AH-1Ws.
