MH-53 Pavelow
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, October 14, 2004 4:55 PM
Hi guys. Anybody here has any idea where I can buy a 1/48 or 1/32 scale MH 53 Pavelow kit on-line? These seem to be a hard to find kit for me. My LHS & some on-line hobby stores that I know doesn't seem to have them. Thanks.Whistling [:-^]

Alex,
As best we have all been able to determine, there are no kits of the Pave Low available in 48th .. 32nd or 35th scale. There was talk of a company (Night Flight Models) that was looking into producing a 35th scale version but I don't think that's going to happen any time soon. You can do what I've done .. buy the 48th scale CH-53G Revell / Germany kit and then the Cobra Company's resin conversion set to make a 53J. Maybe someone else has more info.
Good luck,
Paul

That's the deal unless you go with the 1/72 scale bird that's out there.

By the way folks, Cobra has an MH-53M conversion on it's future offerings list.

If you do the conversion, you'll also need Cutting Edge Modelwork's cockpit and weapons sets. The Cobra Company set only contains the external modifications.

I would not be surprised if someone starts making them soon since Sikorsky is re-making the H-53 again. It is a new version. They had some pics at the factory last weekend.
