Decals for Testor's 1/32 H-43 Huskie

I'm finishing this kit up but the decals are pretty bad, they don't want to come off the paper, they are stiff and brittle, several have torn (decals are an area that usually give me no trouble). Is there a set of after market decals available out there for this Helo, I'm building it as a Pedro and am scratch building the Fire Supression Kit that was slung beneath it. After I started I found out the history of the helocopter and the Aerospace Rescue and Recovery Service "Pedro" units which I really found interesting so now I am thinking about getting another one and the detail kit that is available but would really like to get better decals for it.

You might try emailing Testors to see if they could send you a new decal sheet. Go to http://www.testors.com and click on Support; they have a form for that sort of request. Might be worth a shot.

Tried e-mailing them for a part, after a month and a half, I called and they couldn't find it. Finally a month after the call, I got the part in the mail. They do have a toll-free number(if I had it I would give it to you) I would call. Check their website for the number.

I e-mailed them for replacement decals for thier rebox of the Academy 1/35th UH-60L. Never got a response, but had a new decal sheet within 2 weeks in the mailbox.

Yeah, responses are a hit or miss thing, but they do seem to deliver the goods (just might take some time).

Thanks for the help, I was hoping for a better quality sheet of decals but an extra sheet will do, at least I can fix the ones that ripped. The decals don't seem to fit right but that can be fixed with a sharp knife and decal solution.

I just finished building the Testors HH-43B helicopter. I crewed S/N 59-1590 in Viet Nam so I finished mine with after market decals for the numbers. My kit decal sheet was terrible offering only a few star and bars. The rest was civilian markings. My decals came apart also so I went aftermarket for star and bars. Found out if you use micro sol on the decals before soaking they won't fall apart. They take a little longer to soak off, but it works.
