Arafat's Helicopters

Please check again, they looked like SH-3's to me, news also said they were Jordanian.
since I got home tonight, I haven't found a clear picture, but they were Egyption.

helicopters don't fly, they beat the air into submission

Hi All, please ignore the above request! I saw the news, yesterday, in the afternoon here at the Library. The news feed showed for about 10 seconds a helicopter landing and it was id'd as Arafats. I was in a cloud of dust, and I made the "assumption" that these were Mi-8's. I was defintely a Egytian Helo, just I was not sure as to the type.

It pays to be correct, as last night, when I got home, I saw the same scene, only for longer time. The CBC ran an 5 minute segment on the burial, and lo and behold, the choppers that were landing were NOT Mi-8's but Jolly Green Giants, in Egytian sand overall. They had the Egyptian flag painted on the side, next to the door.

There were two of them , and the raised the dust cloud on landing. This was the ten second clip I saw earler in the day.

Oh Well, egg on my face as usual!
