I have been to Osaka in transit many times.. But not for a real visit.. The wife's brother is in Nagoya...

Well as for current projects, I am half done with my Japanese Seahawk... Its really starting to take shape nicely... I will be going to pick up my SeaKing tomorrow.. .. I also have about 10 other projects that need attention, so I am kinda flat out with what I am doing now, and spending time with the family.. Sorry to say, the family has come second the last few nights.. Public holiday tomorrow, so family time!.... I will post pics as I go... My problem is, that I see something, and I must have it.. I am impulsive like that, and so end up with boxes waiting to be opened....

Still warm down there? I've visited Fukuoka/Hakata and Kitakyushu (and Kokura, and Space World!), then went on to Nagasaki and Sasebo, but I haven't made it to Iizuka.
Have you been to Osaka?

Back to helos: looking forward to seeing your current projects!

Thanks for the compliments guys... I have been rather busy lately. And with all the builds I have sitting waiting for me, I havnt had a chance at making a decent site.. We also moved house in the summer, so most of my models are still in storage, and havnt had a chance to get them out on display or photographed... I have a few ships and Airliners sitting waiting to be fixed up..

As for the Cobra, it was a little daunting at first, but I am extremely happy with how it turned out.. As for 1/72, I prefer to model in that scale... So I am kinda getting used to dealing with such a small subject.. To J-Hulk.. Yes is the rerelease Tamiya kit.. It came with a 3 set of decals for the US, Australian RAAF, and Japan. The RAAF markings they suplied havnt been used in 30 (edit) years, so I decided to stick with the Japanese markings..

As for my next project. I plan on building a 1/72 JSDF Seahawk and Seaking... But I am in the middle of doing a JGSDF Iraq Humanitarian Effort Diorama in 1/35th scale..

J-Hulk.. I am in Iizuka City.. If you were to draw a triangle of 3 cities, then you would have Fukuoka City 30 minutes to my west, Kitakyushu City 40 minutes to my North, and Iizuka city is in the dead centre of Fukuoka prefecture Kyushu Island!..

Nice helos. I guess it was hard to make that camo at such a small model.
That's a nice collection. I'm specially impressed by the tie advance and the Y-wing. Great work!

Howdy, Chris!
Nice work on the JGSDF helos. I especially like the camo on the Cobra.
Is the Iroquois kit Tamiya's import of the Italeri kit?

Where are you at in Japan? I'm smack in the middle of Osaka.
The local JGSDF helo base here in Yao has a buncha AH-1S's, UH-1H/J's, UH-60JA's, CH-47J's and OH-6D's. Plenty of helo action around Osaka!

the copters look great, Im still surfing the other builds though. Have you ever thought about using photobucket or rongeorges site to show you work? much better than MSN's or yahoos photo albums. Even Alanger lets you store larger photos showing more detail.
Just a thought.
