Masking a OH-6
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, December 6, 2004 6:46 PM
I just got a, new to me, OH-6 and before I start anything I'm trying to figure out how to mask off the interior when I paint the exterior. Any ideas?

I use a couple of pieces of hard, card stock paper. Place it inside the door openings and trace the door opening on it. Cut them out slightly larger than the opening. Once ready to paint, I place a handle out of tape on each card mask. Slide them into place in the door opening and you are ready. Tape off window glass and paint. You may get a little overspray in the areas of the door where they meet the floor, but this is easy to touch up. Hope that helps.

Sounds like a good plan, I was thinking I would have to try packing cotton balls in the interior, but then I would have cotton residue all over the interior. Thanks for the idea.
