Duke, given your collection of Mig-21's and Mi-24's someone could easily accuse you of being a red card carrying member of the Socialist Party!!! (that was a joke Smile [:)] )
boy Im glad those days are over :)
Nice collection of Hinds. Im partial to the A's also because of the RedDawn movie. Now if only I can remember what Helo they dresses up for that. I know Rambo's was a Puma....

No wonder I couldnt find any Hind kits on the store shelves! You give new meaning to the term "Group Build."

Thats quite an impressive collection of Hinds you got there, Duke! Good job!

Cool looking helicopters, Duke, I once built a Hind A too, waaaaaay long ago. I've always loved that machine.

Thanks Dan! I do too! There's just something about it that looks so cool! I only wish I knew more countries that used them, I'd build more. I know about seven other countries that use the -D, but I try to only build them ones from Africa/Middle East.

Thanks again Dan!

I always thought the Hind A looked much cooler. At least more aesthetically pleasing. Plus, it reminds me of one of my favorite movies, Red Dawn... great sequences with those Hind As!

I agree! When I saw that movie, I just had to go get a Hind A! Of course, I had to wait a few years but it was worth it!

You have quite a collection of Hinds ... and they all look very good to me.
So when are you going to build your next Hind?!

Thanks Avus, I'm glad you like them.

Well, when it comes to building another Hind, I don't know if I will since I don't think there are any more being used by African/Middle Eastern nations. Still, one can never say never.....Wink [;)]Approve [^]

Well, after having completed the Hind Group Build a few months ago, I decided to post some pics of every Mi 24 Hind that I've built. Every one of these is in 1/72 scale so as to maintain consistency with the rest of my collection.

So, without further ado, here are my Hinds flying in!

Of course, we shall start out with my Russian Hinds:

Here's my Hind A:

Then my Hind D:

Followed by the upgraded Hind D:

and finally my Hind E:

Next are my two German Hinds. Both are Hind D's, but one shows the base configuration the way half of them were when the re-unification came. The other one has the upgrade kit on it, the way the other half were when the re-unification came.

The first German Hind D:

Then the German Hind D [mod]:

Finally, there are my two African/Middle Eastern Hinds:

Here is my Iraqi Hind:

I had to use aftermarket decals to make this one. It won First Place at my IPMS club contest. This is the contest pic.

Finally here is my Libyan Hind I built for the Group Build:

I hope everyone enjoyed this post of my collection of Hinds. Comments are welcome.
