Ok guys/gals. I went to one of our local flight museums today and recieved some great news. On Oct 1-2 of 2005 the Olympic Flight Museum is holding a helicopter show! This will be the first of its kind in the PNW and promises to be a great event. I have attended this museums "gathering of warbirds" and if this helicopter event is anything like that you can rest easy knowing this will be a fantastic event.
This museum is owned by two guys who love aircraft. The venue is small which ensures plenty of up close action with the aircraft and crew. After speaking with them today the aircraft rumored to be there, such as the skycrane, mi-24, various attack helo's (the museum personally owns 4 cobras all of different variants), 12 UH-1's and who knows what else. There is even talk of boeing getting involved which may mean an Osprey sighting. Not to mention Seregi Sikorsky will be the special guest! I am going to approach my unit and see if we can provide either a Blackhawk, Chinook or Kiowa.. who knows maybe all three. I will keep you all posted as I hear more. This will be a fantastic event for the aircraft lover. Don't forget this museum has a amazing collection of airworthy warbirds to see as well! I am sure there will be plenty of demonstrations and such.
