Revell 1/144th scale Westland Puma Pictures
Posted by celestialsphere on Monday, January 17, 2005 10:55 PM
Greetings from Western Australia!

These are a few pictures of my Revell 1/144th scale Westland Puma in RAF desert colours from the 1990 Gulf War.

The background to the photos is simply a couple of pieces of Medium Density Fibreboard.

The photos were taken in the blazing Western Australian sun and prototypical 35 degree Celcius heat (that's one thing I didn't have to scale down!).

A review is on Hyperscale ( http://hsfeatures.com/features04/pumahcmk1ar_1.htm) as of 24th Jan 2005

Have a nice day

Amazing! I tip my hat to you for working in that scale, and you've done some outstanding work with this one.

Beauty of a build there!

The 1/144 kit has come a long way since the last time I tried to build one in the late 80s when Dragon kits were state of the art for 1/144.

The new batch of Revell Germany 144s is light years ahead of that. I've got their Hawker Hunter MK.9 waiting and its got details molded in the cockpit that you sometimes don't even get in 1/48 releases.

I'm seriously considering picking up their Chinook HC.1 and CH-53 kits.

Ditto on what everyone has said, excellent build!
