Aftermarket parts for 1/35 helicopters
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, January 18, 2005 9:11 PM
I was hoping there was someone who could help me in locating companies who make after market parts for 1/35 scall helicopters. Specifically MRC 1/35 AH-IT kit and DML 1/35 MD500E kits. But any 1/35 scale aftermarket parts would be a great start for helicopters.

Thanks,

Shawn

Shawnusa,
give Cobra company a go. The owner is also pretty good about answering questions.

Shawn,

I second Bwog's sentiment, as most members in the forum here will. Not only are Cobra Company's products top notch, but Chief Snake is a fairly regular poster on this forum as well. As far as Super Cobra upgrades go, the NTS kit that CC puts out is phenomenal! I haven't gotten the MH-6 upgrade yet (its on the way) but I'm expecting it to be no less spectacular. And if the older Revell 1/32 Cobra kit is more your speed, the CC cockpit is the industry standard.

Good luck!

You can also check Eduard's Web-site www.eduard.cz
I don't know about the Cobra but you could use some parts of their kit for the OH-6A Cayuse to improve your MD-500 (that's what I did with my MD-500 to MH-6J conversion).

In regards to Edwards OH-6A photo etched parts. I can barely tell what it offers that would work on the MD500e. Can you tell me what is on the sheet? How much extra detaisl are offered for the exterior as the description only mentions the interior.

Thanks,

Shawn

Actually there wasn't much for the exterior, just some panels with more detail.
For more details you should download the instruction sheet on Eduard's site.
