I have the Cobra company detail set for the 1/35 scale Blackhawk helicopter by Academy/MRC. I think the interior of the kit is fine as is. Let me know if you interested.

Thanks again, those were the items I had found with the assistance of the group. In regards to the photo ectehed stuff is there links to information on how this stuff is applied? Never done it and will likley bypass it but would like to read up on it's use and how it's applied.

Can anyone also source me for addons parts like antennas and piot tubes for 1/35 helicopters. I bought a 1/35 scale MD500e Police unit but it lacks external anttenas and details you would find on such choppers. I'm sure I could scavange from other upgrade kits just would like to know which ones wold offer such parts in 1/35 or 1/32 scale.

Anyway, I appricate all the help and info, and lookng forward to contributing in the future.

Cobra Company and Eduard sets compliment each other. They upgrade different items and are both great. I personally don't like PE and find most of it over engineered and hard to work with. If you have never done PE, I wouldn't recommend it. CC stuff is great though.

For the AH-1T+, it is the same kit as the AH-1W, just different decals. The AH-1W NTS is the latest version. This can be made from the AH-1T+ kit by getting the CC AH-1W NTS upgrade set.

New decals can be had from TwoBobs Aviatin Graphics, AH-1W Cobra Whiskey's in the Mix decal sheet.

It features decals for 6 diferent aircraft.

Good luck.

Okay,

First of all thanks for the welcome. Just getting into modeling again after 15 years.

I have looked at eduard and also Cobra aftermarket options. Each offers diffrent methods. Photo Etched and Resin parts. My questions are which are better or are they a compliment to each other?

Second question is I have the Academy AH-1T+ Gold Cobra kit in the 1/35 scale. What version aftermarket parts would this kit fit into? i.e. is the kit much diffrent than a AH-1W or AH-1T? What is the most active version of the cobra these days?

I want to do a really supper scale job on the kit I have but not sure what a good option is. Any help here would be greatful.

Thanks,

Shawn

Searching for aftermarket upgrades for 1/35th scale helicopters...

I was hoping there was someone who could help me in locating companies who make after market parts for 1/35 scall helicopters. Specifically MRC 1/35 AH-IT kit and DML 1/35 MD500E kits. But any 1/35 scale aftermarket parts would be a great start for helicopters.

Thanks,

Shawn
