David,

No, no Apachehistorian. I'm gonna keep the Cobra moniker, as long as I get to be Apachepilot in real life! And I am always happy to autograph books for anyone who wants em autographed.

Snakedriver,

I emailed Zac the chapter on Blue Max. He said it was great. Lots of good pics too.
I'm gonna take a bit of a break from writing at present. Gotta get through this semester, commission, Rucker, etc, and then I'll probably start banging my head in the keyboard again, with that project as my #1 priority.

Congrats!!

That's awesome news. I'll have to keep an eye open for this one. Of course, you'll be posting again when it's available on May 10th, right?! I think we can make an exception and allow for a self promotional post for the book. Who knows, perhaps we can make May 10th into Cobrahistorian day! Party [party]

Speaking of which, you're not going to ask me to change your username to Apachehistorian are you? Wink [;)]

Will there be autographed copies available for sale? Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]

Jon,
Congrats! If it's as good as the first one you did it will be a sure winner. I'll be with my Navy and Marine Corps counterparts (UH-2C, UH-1E drivers) this evening so we will hoist a few in your honor. I'm still gathering material for what a bunch of us hope will be your next work.
OK, Newbie, try to fly this thing home without gettin' us hurt!

As for the specs, its 96 pages, with 120 photos and 22 color aircraft profiles For an example of the artwork, just look at my sig. 94-0332 is the last color profile in the book.

Hi CobraHistorian,

it sounds like a great book.
Is it possible for you to list some "specs" of this book?
Like how many pages, what size and format (landscape?) etc.
Any kind of drawings, like isometric close-ups?
The plate below looks really sharp. I assume the book will be with the modeller in mind.
Wow, 4 more months...but hey, they will be gone before one knows it.
Really looking forward to this one. Cool [8D]

Well gentlemen,

After a year's worth of work, numerous interviews, articles, books, pots of coffee and toner cartridges, I have FINISHED THE APACHES BOOK. Its release date is 10 May, so look for it then.

In the meantime, someone pass me a beer!
