AH-64A Decals
Posted by Avus on Friday, January 21, 2005 5:39 AM
Wow seems Apaches are currently "in".
I am rebuilding an Apache I made more then ten years ago; I stripped down the paint, unbuilt some parts, added PE parts, rebuilt it and painted it standard OD. Now I have to come up with some decals:
- Do you know if any company makes AH-64A decals in 1/72?
- Or otherwise where can I find detailed info on the markings (includng stencils like "no step" or "hoist here" etc.) in order to make my own decals?

The picture shows the status two days ago (that's why it's not painted yet).

Klaus,
Haven't seen any in 1/72, but Two Bobs does have a 1/48 set for OIF. Maybe you could downsize them or use them as a guide. Here is the link:

Hope all is going well for you in Italy.

I'm doing the same thing to a 1/32 p-51d that i built a few years ago, and i got my decals from Squadron. Here are some that i found on there. http://squadron.com/ItemDetails.asp?item=HD72020

they include decals for both the US and Israel.

Thanks guys!Bow [bow]

brandonp51 I'll have a look if can find that sheet at my LHS.

Gino That sheet looks great, but for obvious reasons the pictures are not detailed enough to read the stencils.
All is fine here; BTW I've tried to mail you several times but I always got an error message.
