I've got two, neither made up.

I am leaning towards one of each... But using the CC Kit for the cockpit and turret.
But having the plank, i'd want a set of troops for it... and i'm far from ready for that:)

plus it seems a hassle coupled with a stress getting the bits and pieces for the figures...

We'll see what happens.

I broke down......Boohoo [BH]......all this talk of the AH-6 kit......
The bug bit me tonight and I HAD to order this kit online! I think I'm infected with chronic model-buying syndromeSmile [:)]

i'll eventually have both versions built.. in the mean time though, i'm stickin' with the GUNSHIP. after all, who can resist a pair of miniguns and a couple of rocket pods on such a small machine? Evil [}:)]

Gunship version here. Got the Cobra Co set for the cockpit/interior goodies, RWR housings, and FLIR turret. Once I get the Huey close to being completed, I'll start the Killer Egg.

Cheers,

Yup, I got two for this very reason - build one as an AH-6 and the other as an MH-6.

Well, now that I've got two of these elusive birds on the shelf, I'm going to make one of each! Well, I think that's what I'm going to do. I've got a Pave Hawk waiting and the idea of it flanked by a pair of gunships with crew and operators milling around makes for a tempting dio idea (but it would be a big one).

So, I guess we're back to square one, aren't we? Final answer? Gunship.

Besides the one you mentioned I have another AH-6J on the shelf waiting to become a "Killer Egg" (read gunship).

QUOTE: I'm leaning towards the AH, especially after seeing Avus' Plank bird with the operators on it.

Did I get this right: you want to build an AH after seeing my MH? If knew that it would scare people away I never would have shown it around!! Shock [:O]Wink [;)]

To answer your question, if you have operators, either seated or standing, to make a scene with, you could make a MH otherwise, as a standalone model, the AH is more impressive. My 2 cents [2c]

Jon,
Do what I did, both. I have my MH-6J with planks done (posted here a while back, also here: http://www.hkngallery.org.uk/hkngallery.nsf/9e7858703c56bfb280256b960044cd7b/a7fdb4775cbc299480256f5300655119!OpenDocument), waiting to finish up the operators for the planks. I also have a AH-6J waiting in the wings (pun intended) to go with it. Also a MH-60L DAP. You have the decals I sent, they include markings for two Littlebirds. A note, I personally liked the center board that is in the kit (part # G26) better than the one that comes in the CC update set. I simply cut the extended ends that hold the weapons off it to hang the planks on. It is better detailed, if you ask me.

If and when I actually get around to getting that kit on my build list, lol, I'd choose the gunship.

Hey guys,

I was going over my LIttle Bird last night while painting the interiors of my other kits along with the LB and was wondering what everyone else building an LB was doing? I got the CC update set, but I'm really torn between the gunbird and the people-mover. Is everyone working on MH-6s? I'm leaning towards the AH, especially after seeing Avus' Plank bird with the operators on it. WOW. Any and all input is welcome.
