                        when we get a break in the weather I will go snap a bunch more on a higher quality setting. I can get some more blackhawks and chinooks as well.

                        You are correct. However the WI guard is still staffing our AA unit until ....Ummmm June from what thier training officer relayed to me. The 54th is back in Iraq so they had to stay a little longer. Heck they have been here 3 years already! Oh and thanks for the pics of those two birds. They were great shots so I put them in my folder for reference.

                        Hey!! Those huey pics at the bottom are mine. I took them at Ft. Carson and Dobbins AFB. I hope you like them!!!!! 70-15422 in a UH-1V and 74-22458 is an UH-1H. Where were the other pics taken at? looks like the 832nd Med Co from DE-NG and WI-NG They are still at Lewis I guess.

                        Yeah The old stuff is at the Lewis museum. We happen to have Shermans kicking around post. Behind buildings, behind fences and who knows where else. We have a boneyard full of m113s and m60s all torn to pieces. The aircraft are from my unit.

                        the chief i talked to while I was taking the pics is a vietnam vet. He crewed hueys back then as well. I stress to say the "Airframe" is 1969. That aircraft has been upgraded to a UH-1V. The main difference from the D to the V is the aviaonics package. If you are curious... that black "thing" is the hoist. Also the litter location on this bird is the same as they were in vietnam. In vietnam however they were stacked 3 high not 2. The litters have a scissor type hinge and are fiberglass which allows them to expand and hold a paitent.

                        Caught this on the armor side, glad you posted them here, know some have been looking for medi-vac photo's. For you guys looking the've come along way since the 60's, so be careful on your time-period. Good photo's Unknown reminds me of what little time I spent at Ft. Lewis.

                        I took some pics of one of our dustoff birds today. It seems finding good detailed pics of the medevac dustoff is daunting to say the least. So I nipped the problem in the bud and stolled across the airfield and took some pictures to share with everyone! This Uh-1D is a 1969 airframe and still spools up daily! I havent yet flown in this one. From what the crew chief said. "She's a beauty."

                        I also took some pics of the cobra. Its a dedication monument. Pretty cool how its set up. Sorry about the quality of the pics it was yet another cloudy foggy day here in Washington.

                        Check out the various armor and stuff too. I will keep updating my pics... I will let you all know whats new as I post it up!
