Yep, engines on the 47 were Franklins or Continentals. Robinson is a helicopter manufactureer.

I believe the engines were Franklin. I have the repair book with illustrations if you need to see something specific.

pharoah...

The link I suggested in your other post regarding this // http://cellmath.med.utoronto.ca/B47/walkarounds/H_13H/13H_01.html // has nine good walkaround photos of the engine on an H-13 of that era, photos 17 thru 25.

Glue? I use both Super Glue Gel and Testors Cement... toothpicks and a selection of needle-nose tweezers as applicators.

Take care, and looking forward to seeing your progress.... Welcome Home! Smile [:)]

I am working on a project and am in the process of putting together the Bell47. I am working with the 1/35 MRC kit. So far no complaints. I havent made it off page 1 of the instructions. The Robinson(i believe thats the engine type) is a mess of cooling/intake hoses. With what limited reference photos I was able to gather I am kind of winging it on some stuff. O'well. I doubt there are any 47 mechanics from the Korea era on this site to chew me out. The biggest complaint to this point is the damn Tenax I'm using! Does this stuff expire or something? I mean I have used the stuff before but sheesh.. this bottle is weak. Whats your favorite glue of choice? I figure when building helicopters you need the best glue available. Rotorheads often have lots of small tedious parts that need to bond quickly and true. I'm open to suggestions on rotorhead tricks and tips you all have learned along the way. I will post some pics once I get past the engine. ITs rather crude and mundane.
