Italeri H-21 and Hobbycraft the same?

I'm sure that sombody knows this. I know that the Hobbycraft kit has some big fit problems that I would rather pay $7 for instead of $20 for the Italeri.

By the way, am I spelling Italeri right? I always just read it and never paid it much mind.

You spelling is correct and they are different kits. Read that italeri has some fit problems to. Wish someone would do a good kit in 1/48th besides FM

Thanks Jon,

I think that a Banana will be my next helo kit. I grabbed a Revell PT109 for a quick build to get back into things and a little change of scenery. I am thinking of doing an R-4 too, I saw one at the shop yesterday and I thought that it might be a fun and unusual build. Maybe getting off of the beaten path will be kind of interesting.

They are different kits. I did the Italeri kit a few years ago, If I remember correctly they gave you a few options for different Marks of this chopper.. They also gave you metal screen material for overhead engine bay... Nice touch.

Butch,

What did you think of the Italeri kit? Was the rotor head any good?

The rotorhead and blade pitch are both excellent, The kit comes up short on the interior, but with good reference a little creative scratch building makes this kit a stand out, oh.. the cockpit glass is a little heavy in the framing but not too bad to use.
