Matchbox made one that is OK'ish.

I have one but you can't have mine!!
There is one at my local hobby shop (In Canada). Give me a holler and I'll se what the price is and if he can help you!

The Matchbox one at my LHS goes for around $17.00 Canadian, and he has a stack of them!

Itaeri/Testors are inexpensive yet fairly good. thats what most of my modles are. now i ant no pro. if you in yapan have testors, iterali is that in different packaging.

Sorry for the big delay in answering.
I have found hobbyeasy to be excellent..
From order to delivery in Europe is usually 6 to 9 days.
No problems with customs - they can be creative with billing details - and they are much faster than the US companies and nearly 2 1/2 months faster than hannants - the worst mail order company on the face of the earth !(you could staple your order to the back of a frog and it would get here faster !.)

They cannot be beaten for price, all Asian manufactured kits are at rock bottom prices, especially Academy.
Last year I bought a B377 in Ireland for €40.
2 months later € 9 on Hobbyeasy.
With postage I still saved €15, and that postage covered 2 kits.
Living where I live, I have had enough of being ripped off.
Everything I but is 50% dearer because of tax.
80% of my fuel bill is tax €1 PER LITRE.
I shop on line for the best prices and save a fortune, and I know it hits local trade, but tough!

Amazing, the similarities between Ireland and Belgium, I guess that's why Irishmen, living in Belgium feel at home here.

Just went to a showe yesterday (WELL*CO*M*E (Wellington County Model Exhibition)) in Aberfoyle (Canada) Yesterday, got a first for best 1/48th scale (or bigger) Helo, (By default which is really sad!!!). But to the point. I was given (Thanx steve!!) a couple of models, and one was the Revell germany Chinook. Well lo and behold! I had seen that before, and it is just a "reshoot" of matchboxes model, without the different shaded plastic, and MUCH better decals. It is reasonably well however. Will try to do mine US ARMY, and will let you know how it goes!

Cgris, seeing that list of Helo kits you've built for the RAAF makes me see the need to buy more of them so I can add to my RAAF Forces too. What I'm lacking besides kits is pictures of what those helos look like.

In particular, I'd love to build these:

3 x Australian Army Eurocopter Tigre's 1/72
2 x Australian Army Bell KIOWA's 1/72
1x Australian Army 1/72 UH-60 Blackhawk
1x Australian Army 1/72 Huey Gunship

If you got pics either of your models or real equipment, I'd love to see them! Thanks!

No probs mate.. I am at work at the momment, but when I get home I will take some pictures for you to have a look at.. My Tigres are complete and painted, but still no markings. The KIOWA is finished, painted, no markings as yet.. The Blackhawk is half done, painted, just needs to have the front windscreen done.. And the Huey is half done and painted...

Also as a side note. You have to understand that the Australian Airforce RAAF handed all its helicopter capabilities over to the Australian Army in the very early 90's.. So if you are going to do RAAF helicopters, then you will have to do them in the old green drab.. Some even were a dark green with white tops!

The Australian Army helo's are all painted in the Auscam Green, tan, and black paint scheme.. The Huey for some reason is not, and is in its usual plain green and tan...

I have done all mine as Australian Army choppers.. I do on the other hand plan on getting another blackhawk, huey and chinook, and doing them in the old RAAf colours aswell. as I grew up next to Amberley airforce base where they were all stationed!
