The front of the kit is vacuformed for the "glass".
My kit is full of bubbles and very frosty looking. . .yet another on the "to do later" pile.

Don
I know it's only rock and roll, but I like it.

I'm sure it's out of production. It doesn't appear to be in stock at Hannants, which is the first place that I look. ebay usually has one eventually - It may be listed as H-5 or HO3S-1. Two kit numbers: MPM 72 036 (basic) and MPM 72 126 (upgraded). The good news is that it's every bit as much modeling fun as I suspected. See the following and good luck: http://home.swipnet.se/~w-16564/revs-02.htm#mpm72036

Quick search of the net and I didn’t find an offering by MPM. Is it out of production?

I've built one Mach 2 kit (their F2Y Sea Dart) and own several others (including the S-51)that I'll build when I'm absolutely certain that no other manufacturer is going to do the subject or hell freezes over, whichever comes first.

Actually, the Mach 2 kit doesn't look too bad in the box relative to some of their other efforts. However, I suggest that you get the MPM kit instead. It will be a lot of work too, but I think you'll have a better model for the same effort expended on the Mach 2 kit.

Has anyone built Mach 2’s Sikorsky S51? Any feedback on this kit or the manufacturer? Their kits seem a little pricey for 1/72 scale.

I would like my first helicopter build to be this bird.
