The Eduard 'interior' Photo etch set I ordered has detail updates for the 50's for that kit.

Here is the scale drawing of the 50 cal sheet:

Can you post a link to the update for the .50 cals? When I clicked on the site, it only showed one page and it was of the landing gear, engine exhaust, and the sponson detail...Thanks!

I think Academy's 'FROG' refers to "bullfrog"
Whikle the machine is known sometimes as Winnie the Phrog.

Where the heck did PHROG come from anyways?

Cant wait to start my Phrog. Got ALL the Eduard sets for it! Color PE interior and Cargo bay seat belts, and the Exterior. Bootiful!

Now I'm just waiting for them to come out with the Labrador, so that I can make another one!!

The color panel is just amazing, and YES the rotor detail...

I just need to build my PE skills first!!
The Eduard stuff is so nice though, thin and "bendabla" and pliable. The kit even came with the entrance door.

Have figured that I won't need the Cobra Company one, since the Eduard one is good enough, but I am in the process of ordering the CC SH-2 Interior!

I gotta stop buying new stuffBig Smile [:D]Big Smile [:D]Big Smile [:D]

But what is this resin set you are all talking about?! I got my CC ready to roll, anyone have a good link?!

Shark-41:

The term Phrog came from the view of a head-on shot of the -46...looks like a frog sitting on a lily pad (lily pad being a ship). Since I doubt any military member wanted to nickname the aircraft "frog" they changed it to "Phrog". The -46E upgrade, with stronger engines, beefed up transmissions, rotor heads, drive shafts, and larger fuel sponsons was nicknamed the Bull Phrog upgrade. But since the Marines outfit their helos with more weapons and transport Grunts, the name has become "Battle Phrog".

Semper Fi!

The interior and exterior sets are in my wish list, so when I get closer to building my Phrog, I'll be putting in the order for them. May have to take a look at some of the resin bits as well, I really want to do this one up.

I check your remarks, and they go down in my notebook as more usefull/useless knowledge (I have my head full of little fact tidbits, and they DO make it easy to impress the girls!Big Smile [:D]Big Smile [:D] (Actually they back off when I start talking helicopters, but I digress). I appreciate your input, and shall use the notes.

Now I must complete my Sea kings (1/72 AND 1/48), Wessex 1/72, Huey 1/35, Skycrane 1/72, P-2V7 Neptune 1/72 so that I can start my Phrog and my blackhawk!Big Smile [:D]Big Smile [:D]

Big Smile [:D]I'm a hover-lover too, and I also married a girl that thought it was neat. I fly helicopters daily, and love it and everything to do about it!!

I have a few stuck-wing models as well, but the helicopters are what I like best!
Did I mention that I like helicopters?Big Smile [:D]

Yeah...
Did I forget to mention my OV-10A Bronco and My Super-Etendard in 1:72 scale as well?

Well, my bench is full, but I keep moving around so I won't grow tired of what I'm doing.

Waiting for the KV-107 So I can do a Labrador, but that will cost me more photo etch.

Sooo, I will build, and when I'm done with some, I'll take some pics, and post them!

Cheers
