Thanks for posting this as I just picked up MRC/Academy's kit on ebay and was looking for something different.

The two-tone gray scheme is the only scheme on current USMC Helos. The lighter gray is Light Ghost Gray, FS36375 (Testors 1728) and the darker gray is Medium Gray, FS35237 (Testors 1721). The Two Bobs Sheets (3 total) do come with all the decals needed for plenty of modern birds and some ODS birds in sand/brown schemes. I have it and they look great.

Good luck.

AH-1W paint schemes
Posted by rufioizgrreat on Friday, March 11, 2005 9:26 AM
i have the 1/35 MRC AH-1W, i just started the cockpit. i want to do a modern OIF scheme, but the manual calls for either the grey green black camo, or desert tan and brown. i see helos now with a low vis camo, all grey, with dark grey MARINES on them. my decal set is only black. do i need new decals, do the grey ones come in the Whiskeys in the Mix from two bobs? and what color exactly is the grey? thanks.
