Probuilder,
Revell/Germany released a 1/48 H-34 back in the late 80s (IIRC) and has not re-released it since then as far as I know. I have heard from several sources that the molds were irreperably damaged. That would explain why it has never been re-released. You can occasionally find one on E-bay but beware that there are usually quite a few people bidding for it and the final prices can be quite high (often in the $70 to 80 range). The kit itself is kind of nice, for 80s molding technology, but not up to today's standards. It rather reminds me of a Hobbycraft kit. I would love to see someone do a new mold up-to-date H-34/Wessex series.

I don't think that a Q conversion would be that hard for someone with some experience doing such things. The Big visual differences are CWR, glass cockpit, different crew windows, bubble windows on cargo door and the specialized medical interrior. If memory serves me well, I think that they had the avionics bay like an EH but I am not sure about that one. We just got our airplanes back so maybe I will get up to Smyrna sometime soon and can take some pics.

Would be great, but no luck. Only ones out there are the Italeri 1/72 ones, and the above mentioned hard to find, old Revell 1/48 bird. Good luck. Maybe Trumpeter will come out with one in 1/35, we can only hope.

I had one, but gave it to a fellow board member a short while ago along with a few other culls from my stash. Be patient. If ROG follows past practice you will see it re-issued in the not too distant future.

Swanny has a nice review and build article on his web-site. If you haven't seen it you may want to make a visit. www.swannysmodels.com

Anyone have any hints or clues as to where one could pick up a 1/48 scale CH-34??? ROG ones are as rare as the red eyed albino modeler.Big Smile [:D]
