Looking for a Sikorsky h-19 or it's variants (HS4, S55)

Anyone out there have a line on the old Revell H-19 helo (moulded in bright orange) or a similar kit? I've been watching eBay, but most kits on there brinbg gold plated prices. Any suggestions would be most appreciated!

Hopefully they will re-issue this one too, would hope they would re-do or re-tool though. There are many 1/48th helo kits, once made, that I wish someone would release them again. Most exist in 1/72nd but I prefer 1/48th myself

Yes, that would be great! The Revell H-19 was one of my first builds when I was just a lad (too many years ago), and now that I have the time to build again, I am trying to locate and build all my old friends. Maybe Collect-Aire or Hobby Craft will hear the call?

That definitely was a fine kit. I also built several of them, until twenty years ago. One of them was an orange moulded rescue-version, with (very rudimental) floats. If we would have known then what we know now!....
I can remember its afaik latest re-release as a S55- Sabena Airliner version, about ten to fifteen years ago. It was almost for free, I should have bought tons of it!

Yeah...
I have that SABENA one, it is still in the box, only 4000 miles away...Sad [:(]

However, there may be good news though!

I am currently working on two H-19s, one is a Canadian navy HO4S (Belcherbit decals) it is italeri's H-19A
and also a US Coas Guard H-19B, both are excellent, even if tey are 1/72 scale. They are very good actually.Cool [8D]

I agree on that one Shark-41: the best 1:72 S55 around. Very detailed. A maaaajor improvement over the old Airfix-kit!
