This is another "oldie" that is on display in my office. It is the 1/72 Airfix kit. I don't rcall it being much of a problem to build. I vacuformed the doors so they would have a more scale appearance and not show a glue seam around the clear edges. Soda straws from a well known burger joint were used for the exhaust nozzles. The port side sonobouy "rack" was closed up. The USPS logo goes over this. I fiddled with the main rotor and interior a bit to add a bit more detail (note the map on the starboard instrument panel shroud). This is one of my favorite helicopters. A good friend flew early model "Seasprites" during his Navy tour in Vietnam.
I plan to do the old Matchbox 1/48 kit with the resin update that is now available.
Right now it's amatter of bringing the skill level back to where it used to be. Hope ya'll like this one.
Don't mean nothin'
