RAH-66

My first time posting a build. I built this out of the box and kind of followed the painting directions. I built this as one of the prototypes using what pictures I could find. It is painted in Testors helo drap but the flash bleached the color. I am not done with this models yet so bear this in mind, all your comments are welcome.

Just got back from the annual meeting at the VFW post and tuned in to see that someone took a shot at the RAH-66. And got a hit, I might add. Lookin' good so far there, Grandad. Once you knock down the gloss I think the Helo Drab color will come through. Too bad the DOD cancelled this little scooter. I know a bunch of ex-Warrant Officer pilots who would have loooooved to strap that puppy on.
Keep the progress pix coming!

Thanks snakedriver, will post more pic's when I'm done, still some work to finish.
Nice thing about being a pilot is that you guy's always got to play with the good toys and we just got to fix them(unless we could beg, borrow or steal a ride in one)

I don't think it's the glosscote that's muting the color - i think it's just that color and the light. The exact same thing happened to a Comanche over on the Attack Helo GB.

Your 66 looks great, John. Nice work!
