Again, I built these with the aid of an Xacto knife and the ol' Mk.I eyeball from photos gleaned from the internet and some stills from Black Hawk Down, so they're close to what they should look like, but not necessarily an absolute (this disclaimer has been brought to you by the law firm of Wee, Cheatum & Howe.)

Cameraflage,
Looking good !!!!!!! But I'm gonna have to agree with you on the bend radius for the FRIES bars. Going from memory here....there's just something off about them. But definitely looking good!!!!

She's coming together real nicely. Those figures are impressive, too. Thanks for the update.
A day in the Corps is like a day on the farm; every meal is a banquet, every paycheck a fortune, every formation a parade... The Marine Corps is a department of the Navy? Yeah...The Men's Department.

For the troop planks, I too used the CC ones. I originally had they angled up like gull wings, then I redid them flat when I added the Operators. On gull wing planks, they looked up too high. My opinion. I agree, the CC instructions aren't that clear, they look like gull wings there. You can see mine in my Showcase III below if interested.

Greetings fellow Rotary Club members.

Here's a couple of construction shots of my Six-pac Little Bird. Canopy, instrument panel, pilot and rotors are yet to go in, but the Delta guys got a little anxious and wanted to try out the seats.

The shape of the FRIES bar, made from styrene rod stock, is the best I could come up with, based on photos I found and by studing frames from Black Hawk Down. I think my bend radius is a little tighter than the real thing.

My question concerns the new external plank seats on the Cobra Company MELB kit. It seems that nobody has actually seen what they look like. Do the seats angle up like gull wings, or do they extend straight out from the plank? The diagram in the instructions looks like it was drawn by a freshman engineering graphics student. I've seen models with the seats in both configurations.

For kicks and giggles, I thought I'd throw in a shot of a Marine Cobra I built some years ago.
