A bunch more pics added to this album including some interesting pics of a sandstorm moving through at 60 mph. You don't fly in that thing.

Wow some nice pics!

Do I have a chance to get some more pics of the helo crew with the maxillo-facial HGU-56?

Yeah what is that they are wearing? Some sort of NBC mask or just a dust mask?

As far as I know it's part of the helmet's protection. It can be fittedt to the helmet or not; here are some pics.

Good guess Supercobra. Full answer on the site (under another pic of the same bird).

I will ask Tom if he has any other pics of crew gear.

Helo is looks like a PZL Sokol? - sort of a Polish Mi-2

Gino,
Thanks for the update. I just labeled it how he did. I will relabel it on the site.

Some interesting pics. Love the helos at the crossed sabre parade grounds. Great referances. God sped to your buddy's dad. May he come home safely.

One note, the below pic you have mistakenly identified as a 5 ton truck. It is actually a M35A3 2 1/2 ton truck, latest incarnation of the venerable deuce-and-a-half.

Buddy of my Dad is a Blackhawk pilot currently in Iraq. He has been sending me a bunch of pics he has taken and I finally got them added to our site. Stop by and check them out.
