Zokissima,
Thank you for the compliment. There is a 1/48th scale kit available. One is by Italeri, and the other is a rebox by Revell Of Germany. The RoG version has markings for two Kamov Demonstrators, an overall black scheme (similar to mine, except no shark's mouth or fin motif on the tail), and a really cool three-color camo scheme (Nile type pattern). I don't know what decal options come in the Italeri version, other than for an operational Ka-50 with two tone Russian-type camo scheme.

Cheers,

Love that paint scheme on that KA-50. Hard to believe that it is 1/144th.

Thanks Guys! Smile [:)] It was a fun kit. It also gave the tweezers a good work-out. Tongue [:P]

Don,
I went up to Marquette for the UPSM model contest on April 9th. Nice little contest all around, the UPSM guys do a really good job. I scored some new kits and books from the contest raffle, plus I made my way over to Hobby World and added more to the day's haul. Thanks for the kudos on the Kamov, see you in May!

Hey Albert missed ya last month!
Good looking build of an ugly helo!
Working on my Rutan build and my AH65D for the attack helo build. So far I have the refueling probe in. Or maybe its a radar thing, I'm not sure.
See ya

Don
I know it's only rock and roll, but I like it.

Oh yeah!!! Thumbs Up [tup] You sure pulled off a fine build of such a small bird, and I agree, the spru arms really make the difference!! Thanks for letting us see!! Smile [:)]

Take care,

Very nice job, Alby. I think the use of streched sprue for the control rods really pulled it off. I thought it was 1/72 scale at first!

Hi Guys,

Fearing that I would not get my Charlie model UH-1 for the Attack Helo GB completed in time, I turned to this little dude. It is a 1/144th Kamov Ka-50 Black Shark from RevellAG. It was started before the GB commenced but other interests came up. All that was needed was some paint, decaling, and the final construction completed. It was built mostly OOB ( I replaced the push/pull tubes with stretched sprue and removed the IR supressors from the exhausts). The finish is Model Master Acryl Interior Black and Light Gray.

I was relieved to read that the GB has been extended, as I still want to get the UH-1C completed. Thanks for looking, all comments and critiques are welcomed.

Cheers,
Albert Clown [:o)]
