I'm sorry Robert, I didn't see your earlier request.

I've done some fairly decent representations of Bunkers AND tents in the past, and will be more than happy to share with you my techniques.

The tissue can be formed easily when wet, and once painted, dries hard and looks very real. Smile [:)]

Here's a bunker with canvas top I done on a dio.

Of course, I'm sure there are AM sets available (for a price), but this construction is fairly straight forward (although making all the sandbags is tedius) and Cheap! Wink [;)]

Hope this helps a little.
Take care,
Frank

Verlinden made a Vac-form GP Medium tent a while ago. They sold it as a MASH set with some strechers and other medical items, don't know if it is still available. Revell had a smaller GP type tent, also Vac-form in their Mash 4077 set Swamp Scene. The Revell one came with a jeep, the tent, fiures of Radar, Hawkeye, and Hotlips, along with some scenery items such as chairs and the camp signpost showing distances to home towns. The tent, chairs, and sign post are O.K., the rest of the items are pretty bad. It does include Radar's Teddy Bear though!

Hi Robert!
I would suggest you to look through the huge list of stuff which different manufactures make for Vietnam era. For example:
http://www.squadron.com/SearchResults.asp?ManuList=everything&Key=vietnam&ScaleList=everything&TypeList=everything&Submit=Go&offset=0

i dont know about bunkers and tents (did not check yet) but maybe you can scrachbuild them by yourself. Movies about Vietnam could be a good reference... "Apocalypce Now" for example...

bunkers:

hope that will help man....
take care

I know this is not the right place for this topic but i put it in the Diorama section and had heaps of views but no replies..
I am building a doirama with a UH-1C Huey Gunship in it and i want to add a few tents and bunkers that you would have seen in a Vietnam Firebase.
Cannot find any company that make these so i was wondering if anybody knew of a simple way to build them.??????????
Running out of luck..
