Marine Decals

HOA ain't bad. I don't want to get too specific, but life ain't too bad out here. From what I hear our little base isn't as nice as the ones in Iraq right now, but at we aren't taking mortar or rocket fire. I was in Iraq in the spring of '03, and this deployment is much more comfortable. We have cable TV, air conditioning, and I even have a place to plug in my airbrush. The OEF stuff going on around here seems pretty serious, but I can't say much other than that.

I know some of my aircraft and buddies are in Iraq right now with Reinforced HMM's (attached to the MEU). And Some of my buddies went to Iraq with a West Coast Heavy Squadron. You've probably run in to other Condors, we're out all over the place.

Hey Riddle, Im a bulk fueler and Ive hot-fueled hundreds of 53's in Iraq..I dont think I ran into your squadron though..Good luck to you where ever you are.

hey devildog, 261, 264, 269, and 167 are all MCAS New River NC squadrons from MAG-26 and MAG-29. Cool Stuff

I definitely agree with HeavyArty. The two bobs set "Whiskeys in the mix" looks like a nice set. It lists squadrons HMM261, HMM264, HMLA 167 and HMLA 269. I personally am looking for decals in 1/35 for HMLA 169. If youre not particular about the squadron then check out their web site www.twobobs.net

Two Bobs Aviation Graphics makes a great set of 1/35 modern Cobra decals called Whiskeys in the Mix designed for the MRC/Academy AH-1W model. Don't know of any others. I'm sure you could use the Two Bobs set on other USMC helos by selectively using some of the generic stenciling and numbers.
