^pops: Thanks for the link. I've checked it out. I'll keep the tips there in mind when I build it.

^air5: Thanks for the pic! I'll save it on my PC, if you don't mind (for reference purposes when I build it). I'd like to ask you for more info about it too when the time comes... Smile [:)]

Yes I did. I had some photos from a Coast Guard Aviation History Album, that helped with the wire placement. I had fun with this kit I hope you will too.good luck

Hi Albert,

Pop over to this site,

http://www.xs4all.nl/~designer/models/models.htm

It's a Dutch heli model site and they have a good build review of your model.
If I remember correctly, it is Cleopatra.

Click on 1/72 scale, then Dutch Helicopters, then S55.
Great site to browse.

Regards.
Pops.

air5, it's the Revel H-19A, the US Coast Guard version with option to model a Dutch helicopter (the "Cleopatra"). I've been looking around the internet and looking at the model instructions. I saw several parts are "not used". However, the pictures on the net do show antennas on the tailboom and under the fuselage. Guess I'll have to "use" some of those "not used" parts! Did you add "rigging" (the wire from behind the fuselage and under the tailboom) on yours?

Here's what the box looks like:

I hope your refering to the Revell-Germany H-19A, It's a good kit, I've built both the A and the B From Italiarie and Revell-Germany ( USCG ) Same basic kits. I like both of them, the interior needs just afew additions, so does the rotor head controls. But it's a good kit.
Now, if you are talking about the older Revell kit It was a nice kit with lots and lots of rivits! Also, if it is the older one. is it the blue navy one or the orange navy one, I'm looking for the marking for the orange one to make a R-G A kit.
Good luck with your kit!

Hi Albert.... Smile [:)]

I've built this, but it's been many moons ago. It was an excellent build for it's time. If I remember, the rivits were huge, in scale, but that may have been another one.

I'm sure there are others with a more recent report that would be more help to you, but all the best, and be sure to take some pictures. Wink [;)]

Take care,
Frank
