isopropyl alcohol works the best for me. it's cheap, too

You could try a drop of two of windex and use a sharpened toothpick to gently abrade the acrylic off the clear parts. I use this regularly to tidy up canopy framing.

I use TAMYIA COMPOUND - works perfect - removes thin layer (paint, scratches)
