Hi Carlos,

The latest cat' from Italeri (mine is two weeks old), shows kit No 1185 as a "NEW" 1/72 OH-58D Combat Scout/Kiowa. E-mail me if a scan of the page is of any use.

Pops.

Thank you pals! Smile [:)]
I got my hands on an italeri OH-58A. The sprues were cut in order to fit inside a bag and the box is all but gone. However it was cheap: About 7.50usd

Italeri also did an AH-58D Kiowa Warrior (#027) and OH-58D Combat Scout (#185) in 1/72 scale that were basically the same kit with different decals.

Matchbox did an OH-58D in 1/72 scale as well. Once upon a time at a local show, I found a conversion molded in clear styrene (or perhaps clear vacuform) that was for the Matchbox kit to back date it to an OH-58A.

I've still got all four kits, but only built the two Kiowa 58D models.

Here is a site that has some information on 1/72 scale Kiowas (not complete since it omits at least the Matchbox kit and the conversion):

There is the 1/72 Italeri OH-58A Kiowa (#195). It has markings for the US Army and Austria. Minimal detail in the cockpit (no collective sticks) but good exterior details (rivets are a bit oversize-not like Airfix though Tongue [:P]The kit is currently OOP, so you'll have to check eBay or online classifieds to find one.
