Hey Staff Sergeant,

I've been working on 53's for a while now, and all the seats I've seen are OD green.

The old seats are big comfy canvas benches that are wide enough to seat about 4 guys. The benches can fold up to make room for cargo. There is a lapbelt for everybody.

The new style seats are one for each individual and they are not comfortable. They have a 5 point harness where they attach to a pendant in the middle.

But they're all OD Green, at least on the ones I've seen

I'm sorry, but "crapper" just doesn't have the same ring to it. Big Smile [:D]

I'm working on my real old 1981 1/48 Revell CH-53D I got of off Ebay. A I just won a 1/72 E. But I payed way to much for it, $56.00!! I know! But that is a hard one to get. MAN WE NEED A GOOD 1/48 CH-53E KIT.

All of my kits are in 1/48 but that one. Now I just need to get a EA-6B and a C-130 then I will have all of the A/C that we fly in the Corps. Then Im going to start on the old one's I've got 2 F4U's one with Pappy's decals.

hello SSgtD,
pilot seat colors depend on what style seat you're doing. the (old) origional armour
seats with the pivoting outer plates had bright orange seat cushions and the seat air
pads (attached to the air blowers for cooling) were dark green.
hope that helped, brian
