New Model CH-53?

I haven't seen/heard of a new -53, but I'd sure like to! Anybody out there that can shed some light on this? A 1/48 -53 would look great next to my Phrog...

The only thing that I am aware of is discussion of a life extension program. I have read that they want to increase the payload to nearly 90,000 lbs (nearly double?). This could become a "new" model like the re-maned Hawks becoming Mikes. I haven't seen anything in a while, except for discussion of the need and some pretty open ended goals.

CH-53X will be newly built CH-53Es with upgraded components adn avionics. Externally will look like an E model, but will be all new internally. Here is more info on them.
