After looking at several HH-65 pics and comparing them to the one in my pics, I can't the difference (watch it be something obvious). Do enlighten us.

I was joking.
Nobody can, it is all internal.
Loss of over 200 pounds of equipment, navigation/communication all reduced in size. This allows greater fuel capacity extending the range of the B model.
Now the C model will look like the Trumpeter Kit with the engine cowling keeping the same shape but sleeker and lower.
The C model will also be the airframe the USCG wanted, but congress demanded the specs include the MADE IN THE USA label for the engines. So we had to settle for the AVCO-Lycoming retro fit and thus modified engine cowl, instead of the supplied Turbo-Mecca ones.

Nice pics and variety. Loved the 300c. It was built by Hughes when I got to fly 'em. I don't have my log readily available, but I'm guessing 125 hours of primary training at Ft. Wolters, Texas. Soloed on March 19, 1969. I nearly soiled myself when my IP got out after a few trips around the pattern and said, " Let me get far away from here then take it around three times; try not to get killed!"
It was one of the most memorable days of my life.

LOL. Sometimes that "Have at it but don't crash" method does have its merits.

I need to get down to the local National Guard training reserve and take a few pics of their UH-1C gate guard. Just like the 'Hotel' in the above pic, it is mounted on pole. Interesting to note is it has the XM22 missile rack installed (I don't remember if it has the missiles themselves or not). Who would I contact for something like that? I'm sure I'd get thrown to the ground with some M-16s pointed at my cranium if I showed up and just started snapping pics without approval first.

Keep to the Coastie bases. By the time your done snapping, someone might ask you who you are. . .maybe.Usually several hours after your gone someone might ask if anyone knew that guy with the camera, and of course the response is "What guy? What camera?"

hey albymore, if your close to cheboygan again, can you take some pictures of the mackinaw, I was stationed on her in the 80's and dont have very many pictures of her. It would be greatly apreciated.
