Yup, the premise is pretty much Final Countdown.

I've only seen a bit of it on TV, but the bits I've seen just show the crew standing around on the bridge of their Aegis frigate debating about what they should do.

This aircraft is from a Japanese animated show called "Zipang," about a futuristic JMSDF group that goes back to WWII in a sci-fi timeslip.

This tiltwing is called Umidori. (Sea Bird in Japanese)

Fuselage looks like a modified Apache - Mix a 1/48 AH-64 kit with some 1/72 Osprey parts and you're on the road to something like this.

Is this a Japanese Tilt Rotor or just a toy? I saw this on e-bay that it is an F-toy 1/144th scale helicopter kit called Sea Bird. I couldn't find any additional information on it so I thought I would ask to see if anyone had any information on it. I think it looks pretty cool anyways.
