Weird
Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, July 3, 2005 1:34 PM
Kinda weird but when I currently (14:20 EST) look at the Modeling Subject page, the Helicopter section shows the latest post being "aircraft crashes" and has me listed as the most recent comment. The problem is I never commented on that post and when I go into the Helicopter section...that post isn't even there

.........................Weird

Of course now it shows this as the most recent post.

I don't see such a topic posted. Most likely a glitch in the Matrix. I'd shoot an e-mail to the webmaster here and have them look into that.

Although a doubt someone has co-opted you on the forum here, this is a good reminder for everyone to regularly change your password here and other websites. Stay away from birthdays (both forward and reverse), pet names, girlfriend's or wife's name, etc. try replacing letters with numbers (ie: A=4, E=3, Z=2)

It IS weird: I was the one that replied to the post about nine hours ago (16.00 h. European time). Don't know what happened after that.

Waitasecond... are you guys talking about the thread about the crash in Sweden? In that case, I have seen it.

My first thought when I first read Salbando's post was "Well if HE didn't post a reply - then who did?" That's what got me thinking about passwords. It was meant as a PSA for everyone here and not aimed at anyone in particular. Sorry if it sounded that way.

I'm just making a guess here but I'm thinking the moderators may have removed those crash threads for whatever reason (probably because they had little to do with the actual hobby of modeling). If that is the case, then this one is on the endangered list too. I know on the Sweden crash the discussion was getting "lively" at times. That could have had something to do with it also.

I had stuck the post with the aircraft crashes in my favorite places to download and view later.
I just clicked on it and it said "You do not have access to this forum."
Oh well, I got to watch a couple of them anyway. I really can't understand why the admins would have deleted any of these posts including yours, John. But, they are definitely not there anymore!!!

Hello Gentlemen. All of the threads pertaining to crashes have been removed from my view as well. Being that I was involved in the "lively" discussion with mcal811 I wanted to see how it was going to progress. I must say that I came to the forum to talk and read about modelling but when I saw some of the posts on the crash in Sweden I could not remain silent. My intent was to share my knowledge and experience with others not to get into a verbal battle with anyone. If anyone was offended by my remarks you have my sincerest apologies.

I know I wasn't offened by anything said. I think it was the moderators who stepped in and removed those threads because they had little to do with the purpose of the site.
