LOL!!!! Eduard gives PE ammo belt for m-60s. It looks pritty bad by itself , but might look better inside the PE ammo chuteBig Smile [:D] I did not try it out yet but I will.

This topic came up some months ago. Here's what I did - I had a plastic track loop from a Tamiya M-3 halftrack kit in my spares box. I unlooped it, then cut down the length of the track, separating the two halves. The track is flexible and has small parallel grooves that look kinda like the ammo belts (close enough for my eye, anyway.)

(Yes, I know the seat belt is in the wrong spot....I fixed that after it was pointed out to me earlier....my bad.)

I've heard that those kit belts are a pain in the hindquarters to get to work. I think when I get to building my pair of Killer Eggs, I'll look into ordering a few extra belts along with the UH-1N update set, as I have one of Panda's Hueys on the shelf as well.

Avus, are you going to load the feedchute with rounds?

Actually I was thinking about it. I don't remember where but somewhere I saw a company that makes rounds and links in 1/35 scale.
And I mean single rounds and single links that you have to combine to make a belt!
But then maybe I'd be too much of a hair splitter.

I ordered the same thing for myself!!! Looks good on photos....Avus, are you going to load the feedchute with rounds?

I'll be working on those belts before too long myself....
I've been thinking about manipulating them under a hair dryer. Has anyone tried that, or a similar method?

If you get too fed up with it, Cobra Company has rubber 7.62 ammo belts in theire UH-1N Weapons set that Chris will sell separately as well. Good luck, the plastic kit ones are a pain to say the least.

Dragon AH-6J kit's AMMO BELT!!!

I've been struggling for hours now over bending the stupid ammo belts that dragon gave us. the shorter one i'm actually close to getting right, but the longer one is broken in 2 places!!Dead [xx(]

Fortunately i have the OH-58D kit which has a flexible vinyl belt that can replace the longer one, but the shorter one will require some more struggle..

So has anyone actually successfuly bent those belts? How did you do it?
