I haven't seen one in 1/48th, like to build one myself. An often overlooked area of modeling is the Coast Guard, not many kits out there and others need to be modified

Lemonjello: 1/72 is my usual hunting grounds and I'm not up on the 1/48 arena at all. I've never seen one in 1/35, though.

Thank you all for the kind words!

edited: I forgot to say what a great looking bird that is! Nicely done! The paint job looks nice, crisp and clean.

Attached are some pics of my completed Stingray for the Attack Helo GB. Kit is the RoG A109, with Hawkeye decals, and some scratchbuilt pieces. The MG240 came from a Dragon 1/72 Challenger II tank kit. (Thanks go out to some helpful TreadHead who recommended this approach). Paint is Badger Modelflex, USCG Red with some USCG Orange mixed. Should have a little more orange to bit accurate.

I highly recommend this kit. It's an easy build, not a lot of filler needed, recessed panels. Was a fun build.

The kit as it is, is not accurate for an USCG bird, a lot of exterior mods are needed, some I did (nose, door windows), some I didn't (2nd pitot tube, gear doors, engine fairings, lighting, antennas, exhaust).

Thanks also go out to a bunch of youse guys on this board for helping track down sources of reference photos! Much 'Appreciated! Thumbs Up [tup]
