You're right: not _in_ the US.
I have been in the aircraft while similar (but not matching, or as agressively flown) manuevers have been flown. That "60mph back-taxi" was pretty funny looking. My guess is the FE was laying on the ramp going "clear back 100, nose right, 75, nose right, 50, NOSE RIGHT!, 25, PULL PITCH!" before they drove off the taxiway.
(Most common cause of driving off the taxiway was a newbie crewbie back-taxiing the aircraft and not telling the pilots "STOP!" in sufficient amount of time, or not telling them when they're still drifting to the rear during the turn.)
Low level flight over the mountains with the attendant downdrafts and lenticular waves, etc, is always sporty, too...
(Yes, it was a US Army 'hook, and no, it was NOT in CONUS..)
