In the last two days I have had a flight of 3 Sea Knights go over head and just now a pair of Cobras and a Huey. So my question is where are the coming from and where are they going? I live in southern Orange County Ca near Camp Pendleton but it seems out of the way. Any Marines out there that can help? In the past I have seen Sea Stallions as well.

Camp Pendleton is home to Cobras, Hueys, and Sea Knights (aka Battle Phrogs). Super Stallions (CH-53Es) and more Battle Phrogs are based at Miramar. It's routine training. I see them all the time down here and when driving north on I-5.

Could be one of the west coast MEUs are running some exercise or another...maybe helo raids or the like. Heck, those things are normal background noise here at Camp Swampy, and you can throw in the Ospreys that are tearing up the sky lately!
A day in the Corps is like a day on the farm; every meal is a banquet, every paycheck a fortune, every formation a parade... The Marine Corps is a department of the Navy? Yeah...The Men's Department.

to add to the list a Super Stallion just made a pass. It's wierd it has been a while since I noticed any activity and now it's a epidemic. Not complaining!
