I'm going to take my time on this one. I got PE parts and some risen parts to.
It is going to be some time before I get to it. I broke my right caller bone on my Moto Cross bike. I would be in Iraq right now but I had a O'Chit OOPS!Sign - Oops [#oops]

Soldat32, I could be wrong on this, but Navy decals wouldn't be appropriate for the MRC Sea Knight kit. The kit is of a CH-46E, but the Navy never used the E. The last Navy Sea Knights in service (which are being replaced right now by H60's) are CH-46D's. 46D's don't have armor plating around engines and flight controls like the 46E's, and the D's have smaller sponsons than the E's. My knowledge on the subject isn't the best, since I'm a 53 guy. There should be some phrog guys about to chime in.

Yes your right,

Getting a bit off topic.Be nice to see a D model released by academy/mrc though.Wonder if the E can be down graded to the D with little work?

You can make this a Delta. I has the Intakes and exhaust for a Delta, but the stub wing are a Eeco. All of the HMX birds are Delta's. The Green one is the delta.

But as some say on hear. I'm just a Phrog AirFramer and Crew Chief, and I do not know any thing about helos.

Hey GrandadJohn.
I don't know if you have seen these or not. But, this guy seems to be up to the task for helo decals.
Not a great selection but, he's getting there!!

I to have been eagerly awaiting for a set of decals for the 46er’s. I just did a search and the only thing I was able to come up with was this from Hili Kit news. Having going over to TWOBOBS to have a look yield nothing new.

"As we paitiently await the appearance of the new 1:48 Academy Sea Knight, Twobobs Aviation Graphics have announced that their next batch of decals will include a selection for the CH-46D, and the next Close-Up from Landing Zone Publications will cover the CH-46 in US Navy & Marines service."

I'm a Phrog guy. I just made my own decals. I got the Font off of www.tiai.com Long Beach USN font. It is not hard to do. My new Phrog, that I just started is going to be HMM-166 Rockey 604 #154790 we crashed hear on 9 Dec 1999. My Gunney and 6 others were killed. So I making it for them.
