Interesting UH-60A
Posted by Cobrahistorian on Sunday, August 7, 2005 11:17 PM
Hey guys,

I'm working on getting some shots of this bird the next time I'm out at the airfield, but one of our 2nd Battalion birds is painted rather unusually. It started life as a VH-60A and has since been refitted as a UH. It has a weather radar in the nose, but the most unusual piece is it is painted Vietnam-era OD instead of Helo Drab. I'm not sure if the OD was added directly over the gloss VH paint, but it is clearly MUCH lighter than the other A models out on the tarmac. Serial is 88-26074, tail number 0-26074 . She doesn't have any other distinctive markings on her, but definitely a cool scheme nonetheless.

I will post pics as soon as I get back down to the airfield.

We have 8826076 at NTC.

074 does sound like a real interesting bird.

Guys,

Looks like I'll be back on the field on Monday. Bringing the digital camera with me, so I should have pics by the end of the week.

3. if it has M-134, the electric cables from it go.....where?

Andy,

She doesn't have miniguns, but I'll try to get shots of the rest of her for ya.
